COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

Bottle. Does exactly what it says on the tin - a light and refreshing summer ale that is best drunk in the sun.

Bottle at Brooklyn Roasting Co. Osaka. Off-gold with microscopic head. Fresh aroma- wheat just edging hops- and light mouthfeel. Disappears in the mouth pretty quickly. Refreshing, wet, and cleansing, but in the end not nearly as satisfying as other Brooklyn beers ie had.

Can; darkish gold, moderate frothy head; crisp hops with a solid malty base; good enough everyday canned beer.

Really nothing special. Just an ale, but it could perfectly be a lager.. Not really my stuff..

It has a light golden honey colored body with good clarity and a few bubbles of visible carbonation here and there. From the pour it produces an average size white foamy head that slowly settles down to a soft, creamy, thin film covering. Lacing is slick and spotty on the glass. There are notes of bready and biscuity maltiness with some clover honey like sweetness mingling with mellow citrusy (orange/lemon) and herbal hops. The flavor has a very drinkable medium body with a good balance of hops and malt. I get a lovely mix of sweet buttery dinner roll like malty notes with a touch of honey and soft citrusy and herbal hops. The finish is just enough hop bitterness to keep everything in check and interesting. The texture is very smooth with soft carbonation.

Poured into shaker glass a gold color with a quick dissipating white head. Aroma was light and malty with a little caramel note. Taste was also light but with a malt backbone not corn. Some citrus very late in the finish. Body is light carbonation is fair. I think this is a good take on what is a bad, or boring style, as in its light but not adjunct. But why copy that?

Brooklyn Summer Ale is golden in color and clear with a frothy white crown. The aroma is light malts and the flavor is slightly bready and floral. This is a light-bodied beer that is easy to drink, but a somewhat disappointing
