COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

Bottled. Very weak in flavour. Tastes quite flat and cereal like, similar to a lot of alcohol free beers, Moderate lacing. Very dull, quite boring.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, West Seneca, NY. A pale amber pour with a trace of white head; floral citrus aroma; biscuity malt taste with some lemony citrus; and a clean finish. Pleasant enough - but nothing more.

Aroma and flavor crisp malt driven but with a bit of fruity orange hops and a bit of yeasty spice to it as well. Still a blonde ale, but a pretty nice one.

This is a decent mild pale ale which is nice and drinkable but doesn’t have great hop character. It is clear orange in color w/ a small head. It’s nose is mostly of grassy and herbal hops, I suspect British varieties. Taste is light w/ simple sweet malt with a savory hop underpinning that doesn’t really work. It does have nice, vigorous carbonation that keeps it nice and lively though. Overall, I can’t say I’m in love w/ this stuff but knocking a few back on a Brooklyn rooftop would probably hit the spot on the right summer day.

Light body. Crisp and refreshing for sure but not in a good way. It was pretty boring.

Pour is clear and yellow but not a rite yellow with a fast dissipating head. Aroma is lite sweet and malty. For a 4.5% beer great full flavors starts out wheat and malts with a lite earthy hop finish.

Nice session brew, light sweet but pleasant slight hay light taste. Medium lasting. Not bad for a hot summer day.

Kjedelig ale fra Brooklyn. Tamm smak lite skum og ingen ettersmak. Filtrering ødelegger denne alen.
