COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

Pale clear gold pour with a thick frothy head and excellent lacing; lots of bubbles. Big aroma of citrus, spice, sweet fruit. Taste is light, just a tang of bitterness. Aroma is far more interesting than the flavor, unfortunately. It’s not bad.

Amarela levemente turva, espuma branca de pouca duraçao. Aroma citrico alaranjado, levemente adocicada. Refrescante, leve, otima para dias quentes.

Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is of citrus, wheat bread, light grassy hops, and sweet malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, slightly bitter, medium finish. Overall, a decent summer ale that is easy drinking and pretty refreshing.

[For private use only.] Tastes like an average beer. Not very bitter or strong. Not a favorite, but not to bad.

Tap at Urban Deli as a part of the Brooklyn Mash-week. Clear and yellow with a fast dissipating head. Aroma is lite sweet and malty with earthy hops. Same in taste. Pretty refreshing and pairs well with light food.

Draught @ Waterfront Ale House. Clear rich yellow with small off-white foamy head, malt aroma, medium carbonation, vanilla infused yeast taste, longish finish. Nice brew.

APPEARANCE - darker than most summer ales. Dark golden. Head goes away in a flash. NOSE - very light notes of, well beer. Not picking up too much else. FLAVOR - good summer beer: refreshing, light flavor & ABV.

Bottle into pint glass, light amber-hued golden color with bright white head. Aroma notes of grainy/bready malt sweetness and light grass. Taste adds some toast and citrus/tropical fruity hops. Light-medium body, low carbonation, soft with faint citrus finish. Easy drinking but not memorable.

Has a malty aroma with some lemon. flavor is not very exciting. Not bad, but too many better summer ales, like Sam Adams.
