COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

This is a really good beer. Pours a nice golden color, has that light hoppiness. A good beer for those hot summer days. Only wish it had a little more kick to it! I will definitely buy this again.

It’s clear yellow and has a fizzy, brief head. The aroma is nondescript. There is just nothing in the nose at all. The flavor is just a bit better than any American adj

Decent beer. Nice floral notes on the mid-palate. Clean bitterness. Not much on the throat. Little distinctive aroma. Agree with others that this strikes me more as an English pale ale then a summer ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Summer Ale?! Skulle lika vara en mainstream lager. Verkligen inte imponerande.

Poured a clear, light amber with no head. Aroma of soft malt and citrus hops. Light body, flavour as the aroma, quite bland.

Very smooth like a juice: no foam and not carbonated. Light aroma and light in color. Easy to drink since there?s no bite to it.

Light amber pour. Aroma of oranges and sweet cream. Subtle pastry flavor with a slightly dry finish. Easy drink in the summer. Worth another go but almost too easy to drink.

Tap at Smith’s Billiards, Springfield, 19/05/13. Clear golden amber with a medium sized off white head. Nose is orange, light hops, grass, pale malt. Taste comprises orange sherbet, sugar, grass, light hops, pale malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp clean finish. Ok - nowt to set the world alight but a drinkable brew!

Pale clear gold pour with a thick frothy head and excellent lacing; lots of bubbles. Big aroma of citrus, spice, sweet fruit. Taste is light, just a tang of bitterness. Aroma is far more interesting than the flavor, unfortunately. It’s not bad.
