Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

Pours gold into a shaker. Bright white head. Apricot and off-fruit aromas. Tastes like it smells with a sour lager finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours almost a clear light amber in color. the head is small and compact and quickly recedes. Aroma is sweet pale malt, some dry biscuity grain and light citrus andfloral hops. Taste: This beer has a nice body considering it’s low alcohol content. A nice dose of sweet pale malts along with a nice citrus hop balance consisting of grapefruit and orange. Well balanced- a solid summer ale.

Pours a golden color with plenty of carbonation and a nice white head that disapates quickly. Has a heavily spiced aroma and taste, but still keeps its drinkability. Definitely a nice beer for the summer.

12 oz bottle split with Mr. PJs. Aroma is weird and hoppy. Taste is smooth, citrus, malty. :::::SECOND TRY:::: On Draft at 123 in nyc. Poured pale yellow slight haze. Pretty smooth with some wheat and yeast in the flavor.

Pours golden with a thin white head. Aroma is citrus, biscuit, very bready. This is a super clean light tasting beer with a very crisp mouthfeel. There’s a little clove kick at the end, but not unpleasant. This would be a fantastic session beer.
