Draft at Spring Brewtopia 2005... Very dark ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. The aroma is all milk chocolate, roasted nuts and vanilla. The well-balanced, but thin, flavor is very chocolatey. Light to medium-bodied and watery with fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish.

04.16.05 Brewtopia ’05 Almost black, little head. Mostly roasty grains on nose, burnt toasty stuff. Flavor is light, roasty, malty, chewy. Only light hop bitterness is underwhelmed by the more bitter roasted malts. Decent, not ground breaking.

(On tap) As a supplement to his standard range of beers master brewer Garrett Oliver runs a series of special brews under the name "Brewmaster’s Reserve" only brewed as draught beer in limited quantities for short term availability - Organic porter is one of them. Very dark close to being completely black. Typical notes of coffee and chocolate with a fine lightbrown head.

Slightly burnt, roasty aroma. Typical appearance. Taste: slightly creamy start, bunrt/char middle, watery nondescript finish. Unpleasant charred flavor throughout. No thanks.
