COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The floor malts give this beer a juicy malt character of considerable depth, 55% malted wheat gives it a surprising lightness on the palate, while our house ale yeast lends a gentle fruitiness. The Oxford Companion will impart knowledge, while The Companion imparts conviviality. Maybe you really can have it all?

Orange amber color with no head. Aroma of fruit, bread, and honey. Quite sweet with fruit, hint of wheat and honey finish. Quite nice!

This is an odd one, I guess a wheat wine more than a barley wine? Pours dark golden/light amber without much head. Nose of grain and summer fruits. Some butterscotch, which is also present on the taste. Pleasantly sweet, but heavy and not amazingly complex.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of bread, caramel, banana and a faint bit of spice. The taste is wheat, banana, toasted malts, buttery note, coconut and faint citrus. Creamy texture, medium-full bodied.

Draft @ Vine & Barley. Pours clear brownish orange color with off white head. Aromas of caramel, candi sugar and booze. Sweet and boozy with some wheat. Syrupy mouthfeel with minimal carbonation. Not that enjoyable.

Draft at The Blue Monkey in Merchantville, NJ. Pours a dark golden orange, almost copper color with a one finger foamy white head that slowly settles into a lasting cap. Rings and streaks of lacing left behind. Slightly earthy aroma with some zesty spice and light fruit notes. Floral and perfume like with hints of pepper and faint hops as well as some apricot and other light fruit. Medium bodied with a strong spice presence up front that lingers into the finish. Slight creamy texture mid palate with sweet boozy alcohol and light fruit notes. Hints of apricot and light berries give a sweetness that somewhat counters the spice but overall they dominate the flavor and you can taste all of the 10%. Still somewhat drinkable but a bit one dimensional and boozy.

Tap. Not as big and hoppy as other Barleywines. Still boozy. Basically, reminds me of scotch. I like scotch. Addition- the more I drink it the more the sweetness builds up. Becomes heavy and cloying. (Down from original 3.3.)
