COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The floor malts give this beer a juicy malt character of considerable depth, 55% malted wheat gives it a surprising lightness on the palate, while our house ale yeast lends a gentle fruitiness. The Oxford Companion will impart knowledge, while The Companion imparts conviviality. Maybe you really can have it all?

Draught @ Churchkey, Wash., D.C. Pours clear amber with small off-white head. Cleara roma of malt, alcohol and fruit with a touch of hops. Heavy, boozy flavour with pseudovinous touches, and a regular malty nite. Warming alcohol presence. Not the best Barley Wine I have had but acceptable.

On tap at 2SP. Pours an amber color with a small white head that fades rather quickly. Smells of caramel, a hint of wheat, and of alcohol. The taste is caramel, a touch of bitterness from the hops, and mild heat from the alcohol. Goes down very easy for the alcohol. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky but smooth, with good carbonation and a slight alcohol burn.

On tap at American Social, Ft Lauderdale, pours a hazy rusty dark copper orange with no head. Nose is mild vanilla and floral. Taste is sweet , fruity, and rather light. Finish is dry and sweet, alcohol masked or I was served the wrong beer. quaff score 8 / 10

The beer had a tropical fruit aroma and the flavor was sweet up front, like treacle, with some fruitiness (peach, light fruits) in the middle. There was a soft, lingering bitterness in the finish from the hops and while warming and high in alcohol, the body was fairly light.
