COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The floor malts give this beer a juicy malt character of considerable depth, 55% malted wheat gives it a surprising lightness on the palate, while our house ale yeast lends a gentle fruitiness. The Oxford Companion will impart knowledge, while The Companion imparts conviviality. Maybe you really can have it all?

Bottle @ Aarons place, Thanks. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, nuts, peach, grapefruit, marzipan, bitter hops. Taste is malts, nuts, peach, grapefruit, bitter hops, winelike. Medium body, higher than usual carbonation for the style and ABV, alcohol shows as a warming feeling in the finish. Different barley wine, reminds me more of a strong belgian blond, good none the less. 020312

Pour out of bottle, big thanks to Tyler for the bottle! Pour is clear orange with thin to no white head, aroma has notes of white grape, peach, some pear, touch of biscuit, hints of caramel and toffee notes as well. Taste is nice fruity pear, peach some hints of bubblegum going into toffee, mix of toffee and biscuit, finishes fairly sweet, slightly warming. Nice brew, if a bit unrefined.

Bottle @ home. Thanks Armin! A touch dull orange appearance with a white head. Rich orange/lemon citrusy, white grape, rich wheat malty, somewhat spicy aroma. Pretty rich, big grape, apricot, orange citrusy, tangy, rich malty flavor. Pretty fruity flavor that’s not typical of many barley wines but is nice nonetheless. Very smooth for 10%.

Light yellow. Aroma is spicy, honey, thin wheat. Taste is the same. This is just not a style I can get behind yet.

On tap at the Parker Pie Company. Dark amber with off white head. Wheat, alcohol, sauvignon blanc, light malt, some barley. Moderate carbonation, light body, prickly, sweet with a bit of odd tartness, also some anise and an odd but hard to identify after taste.

Growler. Pours clear, bright orange, with a small light tan head. Aromas of cherry, grass, honey, mild bubblegum, wheat, and caramel. The flavor is mild caramel and slight buttery cherry; some bitter grass, plenty of malt, and some hot alcohol in the finish. Light buttery aftertaste. Good. [941]
