On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a lightly hazed orange with a thin to medium sized beige head. Smoke, light lemon, citrus zest, floral notes, touches of ginger. Zesty, and spicy. Messy, but it’s not terrible. Nowhere near the messy level of say Sam Adams WTF, which though the beer is not very similar, was the first thing that popped into my head. Too much stuff going on here. Smoky, lemony, lemongrass and floral flavors all trying to coexist, but coming off a bit too conflicted. Certainly an interesting beer.

Slightly hazy golden with a medium, creamy white head. This was indeed a special one. A lot of lime both in the aroma and taste, also ginger and notes smoke. Ice cubes, perhaps?

Draught @ Akkurat. Unique brew, this one... The texture reminds me of soda, altough the taste is quite complex yet in balance. Notes of smoke, orange and preserved fruits. A bit dry. Kind of reminds me of the traditional finnish drink "sima".

Pours golden with a white head.
Taste of canned citrus fruits (tangerines), hint of smoke and the same sweetness as in rauch biers.
A fun brew that tastes a lot lik grapefruit tonic drink mixer.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy golden, mid sized head. Heavy on ginger and lemon. Sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Orange peels and ginger marmelade. Low bitterness. Manages to retain balance with all the spices.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Pretty sure they hit the nail on the head with what they were trying to do. Ginger, lemon, and peat smoked malts. The smoked malt is more evident in the flavor. Really weird, but hey, I like weird.

A strange brew. No pun intended. Neat unfiltered appearance, with head retention, but a confusing armoa of fruits and yeasty/citrus (as strange at it sounds). Taste is bitter sweet sour fruity, with more sweetness as it warms up. Very confusing and not particularly balanced. Finish is relatively clean, but this is a beer that just didn’t grab me at all.

I like odd beers, and this is one of the strangest I’ve had in a while. Served on tap at Stub & Herb’s, this was an interesting combination of many flavors. About 3/4 way though the flavor explosion was a mineral / soapy taste that I did not enjoy, but it quickly mellowed and finished nicely. I would be happy to have this again, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

On tap at barcade jersey city. Ginger and dandelion, Lactic, honey, and some lemon. Interesting and while interesting for the first few sips... Falls short and is actually kind of gross.

On draft. Cloudy orangish amber color with a nice white head. Light hop aroma. Dish soap on the back of the palate turned this one off for me.

On tap at the Shep. Slight haze, darker golden, white head. Sour soda aroma. Yikes! No clue on the flavor of this. It’s not beer is it? Seriously, no idea how to rate this. me no like
