A little pre-lunch taste at HopCat before going on a cellar tour. Hazy golden pour with a thick white head. The nose is softly spicy with a kiss of light bretty minerality. A touch of honey and light lemon peel as well. Soft hoppiness with a little bit of brett character. It still has the honeyish palate of the regular local 1 coming through. Soft and chewy with a lightly lingering herbal character. A bit of soft yeasty spice on the finish. It’s pretty tasty, but the "wildness" is pretty subdued. A little bit of light tartness on the finish.
