COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There was a time when all beers were aged in wood and yeasts ran wild and converted together. Modern brewing is wonderful, but sometimes a little converting is a fine thing. Brooklyn Wild Streak is our barrel-aged Belgian-inspired golden ale enlivened by the earthy funk of wild yeast called Brettanomyces. It’s particurly great with cheeses and game meats. Oh, go ahead. You know you want to.

Bottle at T&M?s. Pours a slightly hazy but orange with a diminishing head. Very sweet with a light dryness. Aromas of the boring all-sorts confectionary and vanilla. Also notes of alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Lively carbonation. Dry and sweet finish.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy golden, small head. Fruity nose with loads of bourbon. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Some funk and butter, lots of bourbon and alcohol. Stinging alcohol in the finish. Unbalanced, but with some highlights.

Smells most fermented berries and alcohol. The taste is better and there are oak and hints of wild berries. However, I think it’s too much carbonation in the beer. It takes over much of the taste, I think. Good bitterness that fills the mouth a long time. However, the aftertaste a certain taste of alcohol. Enjoyable rich tasting beer. Smooth balance of flavors but the bourbon stood out; very enjoyable for me but not worth the hefty price ($20.00 for me). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with moderate head of champagne like bubbles. Aromas of leather, candied fruit, toasted malts and dry oak. Smooth, mellow flavors of same with additional apricot notes and a little spice. Soft carbonation and warm finish. Quite nice but a bit overpriced...

Incredibly disappointing. Not much brett influence, but it is still a young beer. Barrels add too much sweetness and take away from the beer, which is otherwise quite boring. And for almost $40 a bottle this an expensive experiment, or whatever Brooklyn is calling it.

The brett in here is pretty light. It gives a light tartness and dry quality to the soft golden ale. Reminiscent of other bourbon goldens like Allagash Curieux, and North Coast Grand Cru, but not as good as those brews."
