12 oz bottle pours a clear dark reddish brown with small off-white head and a little lacing. Aroma is mostly sweet malts: butterscotch, burned caramel, with a bit of dark fruits. Taste is sweet with only slight bitterness in the finish. Body is medium with average carbonation. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Easily drinkable but nothing terribly memorable.

Pours a reddish light orange color, on tap at WOB in West Palm Beach, Nose is sweet with a butter scotch aroma. Taste is light, slight sweetness but rather flat and boring. Finish is dull. Very little flavor and disappointing. Quaff Score 6 / 10

On tap at WOB. Pours a dark red with an off white head and aroma of caramel and malt. Taste is sweet, of caramel, malt, toffee, and light fruit with a medium finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a one finger tight bubbled beige head that had pretty good retention. The nose is all about the malt, toasty and slightly sweet with some dark fruits and burnt caramel. The flavor is equally all about the malt as well, a bit on the sweeter side with some rich dark fruit and a light hint of bitterness on the late finish. Medium bodied with a bit of clinginess and fizzy spritzy carbonation. Not bad, and actually pretty good amongst it cohorts in the style.

On tap at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Was served Ice cold in a frosty glass and was very refreshing and tasty. Enjoyed it much more than most I have had from Brooklyn Brewery.

I’m drinking this because it is a Scottish ale. It may have its roots in blustery Scotland but it has its present in Malt City. I haven’t got a holiday dish. This is ok, malty, caramel.

Mega mushroom aroma. Dirty taste. Sticky. Really not a good drinker at all. Sorry guys, don’t hold this against me.

A murky brown color with a beige head. Aroma contains some caramel, brown sugar, and must. The flavor is malty with some sour notes. I’m getting some caramel, biscuit, citrus. The aftertaste is somewhat sour with a malty caramel presence. They do better. Bleh.

Strong but quite tasteless too, very winter alike but not much features except of a alcoholic tase there.
