COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A darker, richer version of our award-winning Brooklyner-Weisse, this seasonal beer makes a fine match for cold-weather foods. Brooklyner Dunkel-Weisse is brewed from 50% wheat and 50% barley malt, some of which has been roasted and caramelized. These darker malts lend a deeper color as well as notes of chocolate, bread and caramel. The beer retains the signature of the Bavarian wheat beer - low bitterness, a brisk palate with a touch of sweetness and an aroma of bananas and cloves from our special yeast strain.

on tap. hazy and dark golden. quite sweet with strong clove character. almost overwhelming by the end. yeasty flavors as well. my first dunkel weiss so i havent much to comapare it to.

on tap-very good beer very malty and dry. Had a fruity subtlness too it. A deep golden color...almost cloudy with a nice thick white head.

Had this one at the taproom of the Brooklyn Brewery and I must say that it is an excellent dunkel. Nice and malty with subtle yeast notes and citric undertones.
