COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Beer is served on DRAFT and in 750ml BROOKLYN bottles.
In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmaster’s Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish.
Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes.”

A great collaboration. The typical banana and clove associated with Schneiderweisse but a hoppiness and well balanced finish as well.

This $19.76 bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of all foam finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated hazy yellow orange colored body. The aroma was wheat and dough. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a strongly vinous brown malt aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of wheat vinous and hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

It’s a nice beer, low aroma, but the taste is pleasant...sort of sweet and floral. For me it could be a bit drier with more carbonation.

Bottle, Clear amber with a mrdium white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, grapefruit hop. Flavour is tangy spice, fruit with an intense mouthfeel, a little fizzy alcohol on the tongue. Intense and a little strange.

Bottle. Pours a dark orangey golden with a huge, fluffy white head . Aroma is wonderful: lots of fruit apple, peach, bannana lots of fairly sweet biscuity, doughy malt; some caramel; some spicy, floral hops. Flavor is a lot sweeter, with more emphasis on the malt and a lightly bitter finish. The wheat is fairly muted in both the aroma and flavor, but there is some clove that melds nicely with the floral, spicy hops. Great weizen bock I’m going back for another bottle.

Orange pour with thick cloud of sediment, frothy quick white head, high delicate carbonation. Tropical aroma. Mango, grapefruit, banana yeast. Oily and chewy. Beautiful pour. Quite sweet up front with a nice balanced fruity almost cola finish. A little bit boozy. This stuff is huge. definitely not sessionable but I love it. I had it with steak but drink this with something hot!

Version brewed in Germany with Schneider Weisse label. Muddy orange with good, creamy white head / Rich, sweet nose of orange peel, banana, cream, clove, bread, and coriander / Medium to full body, rich, sweet, creamy, excellent balance with a little hop bite, and long, lightly bitter finish / Smooth but deep flavors of banana, orange peel, pineapple, coconut, clove, nutmeg, and coriander / I am naturally skeptical of big weisses, weisses in general being prone to being cloying. This is a beauty, and is almost dessert.
