COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Beer is served on DRAFT and in 750ml BROOKLYN bottles.
In May 2007, Garrett Oliver traveled to the 400 yr-old Schneider brewery in Kelheim, Germany, to brew Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse. This was dry-hopped with the local Hallertauer Saphir hop variety. In July, Drexler brought his yeast to Brooklyn and brewed Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, choosing the American Amarillo and Palisade varieties for the dry-hopping. Now you can taste the result, the latest beer in our Brewmasterís Reserve series. The beer has a full orange color and the aromatics pair the banana and clove notes from the Schneider yeast with the mango and citrus qualities of the hops. The bitterness is robust but balanced, and the beer has a clean, hoppy finish.
Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse pairs well with Caribbean seafood preparations, crab cakes, jerk chicken, Thai cuisine, Szechuan cooking and many Mexican dishes.Ē

What a great concept. Drinking the Schneider label Weiss from a bottle so Iím assuming it has been dry hopped with Hallertauer. Pours a very hazy light amber with aromas of fruity hops and an incredible flavor of classic yeasty German Hefe and fruity, spicy hops. I would love to try both together and experience the difference. I love this beer with its velvety mouth feel and citrus like finish. Delicious.

500 ml bottle. 8.2%. Pours a very cloudy gold. Thick white foamy head. Heavy lacing. Almost opaque in the glass. Large, dark floating particles.Very strong grassy aroma. Abit overpowering. Not very pleasant. Wow. Huge hit of hops. Way too strong for my taste. Canít finish it.

"Tall white head with a light, cloudy orange/amber pour and good carbonation and lacing. Fruity aromas with bananas, peaches and pear, and yeasts, hops and wet straw. Taste is big on the bananas and ripe fruits upfront and a nice dose of hops and light linger."

10/5/2010. From bottle. Hazy golden color with a white head. Normally far from my favorite style, but the collaboration of German and American influences makes this one work very well.

Seems like forever since Iíve had a German weizen. This is a goodie! German quality with American hops. Cloudy dark golden (swirled end of bottle into my Schnieder weizen glass) with creamy off-white head. Normal weizen textures and tastes with the bonus of some extra hops, this a nice experiment, with great results.

Bottle shared with Yanick. Pours cloudy orange with white head. Nice lacing. Nose and taste of baked banana bread, clove, sweet alcohol soaked oranges, florals, orange candy, grass and wheat malt. Medium body.

The aroma of this beer is heavenly with the mixture of resin and floral hops with wheat and orange zest. In a glass, the beer is a cloudy amber color with a small white head that fades quickly to a ring, and the taste is a mildly sweet, touch bitter, and slightly sour. Also, the mouthfeel of this beer makes you roll your eyes in ecstasy due to the medium body, thick texture, average carbonation, and long finish.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Hazy yellow with foamy white head. Very lively, strong yeast and wheat with notes of orange and apricot along with skunk aroma. Most comes through in the taste along with some grassy notes. Nice full body.
