COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyner Weisse is a Bavarian-style wheat beer, unfiltered and chock full of spicy esters that evoke hints of cloves and fruit, some say even bananas. The beer is made with a traditional weizen yeast strain. The malt mix is half malted wheat and half barley malt. The hops are Perle, from Germany. Bitterness is low to medium.

Nice hazy yellow colour with a pale white head which dissolved VERY quickly. Served with a lemon at a bar (from draught). Smells bland as any other wheats would. The taste is almost exactly like the smell. No yeastyness, no complex taste and worst of all, no 'wheatie' characteristics! Worth a shot, but not a great wheat by any mean.

ive never been a big fan of BB, so i wasnt too optimistic about this. but i have to say this was fantastic, and on tap too. i have a feeling it was very fresh as well, from a place that knows how to keep its taps clean. one of the best examples of the hefe style my an american brewer ive ever had. well done.

Hazy orange, yellow pour with a decent head. Sweet wheat malt and spice in the nose. Light across the tongue, hint of banana. apple like notes on the way out. Decent, but not quite up to it’s German cousins.

355ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some thin spotty lacing. Aroma is mild spices and yeast with some hints of light fruits and floral hops. Taste is light malt sweetness with some light fruits and a pleasant spiciness with some hints of yeast and a mild hop bitterness in the finish. Light to medium body and light carbonation. A pretty nice wheat ale that I would definitely drink again in the future.

Pours pale hazy gold, not much head or retention. Aroma is band-aids, clove, wheat malt, vanilla. Taste is the same but with some banana notes. Body is medium with medium carbonation, silky body, plasticy finish. Overall, not a very good hefeweizen. Way too much medicinal character from the yeast.

Orange gold pour with tall head. First weisse so nothing to compare it to, but flavor was very pleasant. Nothing special in terms of depths of flavor, pretty much standard wheat. Solid but not special. Simple and easy to drink.

Bottle at GABF. Pours with a hazed golden body and a huge, foamy white head. Aromas are classically grainy, wheaty, 4VG clove, some other mild phenols, banana like esters. Flavors are of banana, 4VG, vanilla and a bit bready and grainy. Lively bubbles, dry finish, a bit thin.

Draft at Milltown. Muddled dark straw yellow with thick spit white head. Nose is broken vacuum cleaner, quite dusty, musty lemon, circus peanuts, dishwater. Flavor is sweet and laced with heavy diacetyl. Gross.

On tap from notes, Brooklyn @ Sierra. Pours a nice hazy cloudy golden color, nice fluffy white head. Aromas are banana and clove, pretty straight forward and clean. Speaking of clean, the palate is just that, some spices, but the flavors are light, some banana, but it works.
