A Mes rate: Polypin at GBBF. The nice dry citric notes are killed by a rather heavy hit of sulphur. There is some nice stuff going on for sure but the finish killed it a little. Watery mouthfeel didn’t help too much. Just not assertive enough.

Unclear yellow of colour with a small head. An aroma of fruits, dust and dry. A flavour with apples, fruits and nice dry.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear one, pale golden in color. Lots of apples on the nose, but a bit dull maybe. Slightly toffee-ish. The flavor is more clean, apples and more apples, medium bodied and semi-dry. Nice sourish apple-finish. A cider that drinks well, quenches the thirst and tastes nice as well, but doesn’t impress. 110128

Clear light to medium yellow color with a fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, vanilla, light barnyard, light wood notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average to long duration, apple, dry. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110128]

Cask at GBBF 09 ... hazy yellow ... light apple nose ... dry apple ... quite a lot of tanin.

Polypin at the Orchard, Bristol 13/09/09. Pale gold in colour, almost clear. Fresh apple juice aroma with some dryness. Flavour had a lemony edge, with a touch more fruit and lingering dry finish. Ok.

Cask at Coventry Beer Festival 08. Gold, slightly hazy. Sweet fruit aroma with a sourness developing at the back of the throat. Buttery taste with a grassy, nettly dryness. Quite good, but my judgement was impaired by this stage.
