75cl, exclusive brewery, new brew Anno 2008, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex brew, balanced, cloudy, small head, nice brew

From bottle 75cl, find @ De Hopduvel Gent. Tasted on 20.07.09 @ Leens home. Hazy darkgolden color, with yellowwhite head. Aroma malts, spice. Medium body. Taste sweet, some malts, low bitterness. Nothing special.

Fine, yellowish head, fast receding over orange-golden beer, slightly hazy. Vegetable nose, pasta cooking water, cold, wet malts. Sharp vegetable flavour, mixed with faintly bitter almonds. Despite visible carbonation, the beer feels flat. Thinnish. Finish gets sweeter and sweeter in time. Very lame, disappointing beer; I wonder what they’re planning @ Erquelinnes.
