COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional style mead is made with Tupelo Honey. She has a spicy, clove-like character with underlying fruitiness that carries through to a clean finish. This semi-sweet mead pairs well with traditional American home cooking: baked goods like gingerbread and southern food: fried chicken, shrimp, sweet potatoes, etc.

Bottle purchased in 2008 and opened at the Mead Mountain tasting on 1/8/11. Clear yellow pour. Nose of honey, dry grape and a bit of citrus. Dry white grape flavor with sweet honey and a bit of booze before a citrusy finish. Pretty solid, but not as good as I remember it being when it was fresh.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2011 Sample at the Mead Molehill tasting on 01/10/2011. Clear yellowish color with no head or lacing evident. Aroma of citrus, sweet spices and honey. Medium body with a moderate sweetness with honey and fruit notes. The finish is citrusy and lingers awhile. Above average overall.
