Commercial Description:
Also known as Brou Czech Lager

6 km far from Nova Paka, there is a ruin of the Kumburk Castle, which was built in the early 14th century by the Markvartic family. The castle was reconstructed from time to time by various owners. In the Thirty Years War, it was devastated by the Swedes and in 1658 it was destroyed at the bidding of Emperor Leopold. The caste used to be the favourite destination of poet K. H. Macha. Kumburak is a pale lager with rich taste with velvety foam, alcohol 5%.

Bottle, 5.3%. Clear copper colour. Small white head. The flavour starts off with a little smoke. Turns milder, but keeps the smoke note. Medium bitterness, slightly uncompromising, but clean.

12 fl oz brown bottle. As BrouCzech Lager. Poured a nice golden colour, with a creamy, tight bubbled white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is grainy, some straw notes, faint dough. Grainy flavour, some sweetness, grassy hop notes. Finishes with mild grass hops, light little bitterness. Medium body, lighter carbonation. Decent.

On tap at II. Cseh Sörfesztivál, Budapest.
Golden coloured, medium sized white head, lively carbonation, dusty nose with touch of wood. Sweet malty, slight hoppy and mild acidic with metallic notes in the bitterish finish.

At the II Cseh Sörfesztivál, shared with ogivlado. Poured a fine golden body with a big white head that went away at am edium pace. A dusty malty nose. The taste is light, lemony hop, dust again (not nice), something I can’t read and a somewhat lasting hop aftertaste.
