Pours a cloudy blonde color with a thin white head with rows of tiny bubbles going up. Aroma of malt, hay and citrus. Flavor of hay, malt and citrus with a lactic feeling. Light to medium body with a creamy texture and strong carbonation. Feels a bit like a kolsch.

Ungstrup (23960) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 28, 2005
A hazy orange beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is sweet and primarily with notes of brewmash, but also some hints of malt. The flavor is sweet malty and with a dry hoppy end. The body is thin and the mouthfeel very carbonated. Nothing wrong - just boring.

Rastacouere (5920) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2005
Nice white head covers the clear golden hue. Sweet pineapple hits the nose in a bed of perfume and fruits, blueberry like almost. Floral and appealing. Very fruity palate bears strong hops, but finishes faster than expected. Great backing maltiness, toasty and biscuity at the same time. Light bodied, but creamy in texture.

Verre de dégustation à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur d’agrumes et de céréales. Apparence: Couleur blonde. (Rating #204)

MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 22, 2005
The Lure:
Freshly harvested cereal amongst the haystack. A few citrusy and grassy hop buds sitting there peacefully. Great head and lacing for a naturally-carbonated pale lager.

The Festivities:
Crispy hayish malt and citrusy, herbal hops (Hallertau?) impart a German Pilsner/Kolsch-like personality to this very well-brewed every man’s drink.

Transcendence:
Begging for a terrace and some nearby cows mooing in German.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2005 Original Rating (6-4-7-4-13=3.4): Herbal and grassy hops in the nose with underlying cereal malts. Clear, golden blonde with generous, thick, fine-bubbled head that recedes slowly to lasting cover. Cereal malts and herbal hop flavours are pleasantly balanced. Light, refreshing body with engaging carbonation to keep the tongue interested. On tap at the brewpub with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Taktik_MTL and Yowie.
Rerate (6-5-6-5-12=3.4): Mild grainy, herbal, hoppy aroma. Clear blonde body is topped with a generous white head that lasts throughout and laces. Light bready, grainy malt notes and herbal hop character. Light body with soft but gentle carbonation. Sampled with Oakes, Rastasouere and Ungstrup.
