On tap, 12 oz. Good looking IPA with a very enjoyable aroma. There is a mix of mango puree, pine and citrus. Flavor is nicely balanced between bitter herbal hops and the acidity of citrus. Crisp and full mouthfeel with appropriate carbonation. Nice bitter, somewhat dry finish. An excellent IPA.

On tap at Mascouche’s Oktoberfest and at the brewpub. Very hoppy IPA without being a ridiculous tongue destructor. A lot of depth in the taste, dominantly citrusy, with notes of orange, pine and a discreetly sweet malt base. Very good brew. Could follow Corne du Diable, Postcoloniale and Amère Veilleuse but, there, order is opinion... I’d have any...

at Festival Bières et Saveurs 2009 with the brewer Patrick and Fred from Hopfenstark. Heard this was thought by many to be Quebec’s best IPA and I was not disapointed. 78 IBU makes it like a 1.5 IPA. Lacey, medium grapefruit colour. Cascade among four US hops used. Served too cold. Still malt in thre, its not too bitter.

2 oz sample @ pub 06-08-09 : copper in color, low carb, citrusy hops, med body, huge citrusy taste for the hophead in you

On tap at Brouemont. The color is dark golden with a thick beige head. The taste is a sweet bitter taste of citrus fruits and hops what an I.P.A. should be I really like this one.

In short: A bland, oily and not-aromatic IPA. Drinkable, but way below average for the style
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear golden-orange topped by a persistent small off-white head leaving good lacing on the glass
In long: Timid nose of fruity hops and cereals, this is not an aromatic IPA. Taste has a basic semi-caramelized malt backbone, baguette, timid presence of citrusy and grassy hops. A big resinous. Sticky bitterness of medium intensity. Strong unpleasant oily sensation from start to finish. Not much better at the brewpub than the first time I had it at the Mascouche Oktoberfest, a beer event which magnitude is matched only by the camping Raymond mini-putt tournament
