Taster at Festival Bieres et Saveurs 08. The color is brown with a beige head. The aroma is nutty malt. The aste is of roasted malt with a bit of hops. The only thing missing for me is a stronger malt taste.

My Bottom Line:
Soft roasted chestnuts and subtle wooden hoppiness delineate this straightforward and mostly malty Brown Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the hazy brown.
-Cherry pit esters appear in the nose once in a while.
-The prickly effervescence increases drinkability, but might get in the way of the flavor profile at times.
-The mouthfeel is vigorous and enjoyable.
-A little more malt tightness and complexity would make it even more satisfying.
-This is another quality session beer from Brouemont.

On tap at Festival Bières et Saveurs.

Hazy amber hue, ith a creamy beige head, nutty toasted malt nose, with a faint floral hops note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasted malt character, a some nutty, toffeeish and grainy accents, leading towards floral hops, malty sweet finish.

Bu sur place (4 oz). Sur le tableau, son nom était Brune légère. Brun acajou, moyen collet. Arome de malte légèrement torrifié. Goût légèrement fumé, faiblement amère.

[ draught 4oz at the brewpub; chilled ]
A mostly diminushing average frothy tan head that tops up a hazy medium mahogany body. Moderate lacing. No particules. Many small bubbles Aroma presents malt being medium nutty /woody while hops are barely noticeable spruce . Also, there are evident traces of date and alcohol Flavor is medium nutty/woody. Light to medium body... watery texture... Soft carbonation...

Dark mahogany brown, clear, with a thin off-whte head, lacing. A nice nutty malt aroma comes out with light floral hops. Light nutty taste, with peaty notes, and smooth bitterness. Oily mouthfeel. Summer 2005, on tap.

Pours a clear reddish brown color with a thin offwhite head. Aroma of nuts and malt. Good flavor of nuts, smoked malt and toffee with a bitter finish. The body is light with a dry texture and medium carbonation. Sigh, if only all brown ales would be like this one ...
