(Rating #2657)

Glouglouburp (4781) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 13, 2011
In short: A carbonated sweetened maple dessert. Not my thing at all
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy dark blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is intense and it smells like sweetened maple derived product. It smelled like the cheap mini maple cones that we find everywhere in Quebec. Taste is a little less the like the sugary mini maple cones that I expected. Tasted like some kind of maple butter. Very simple. More like a carbonated sweetened maple mixture than a real beer. May the man who invented the maple syrup beer burn in hell right next to the man who invented the cubicle.

Love the maple smell but a bit disapointed by the taste. Good thing is that it’s not too sugary.

Beautiful color reminded me of an aged cognac or rum. The maple is overwhelming in the aroma and agressive in taste. Low carbonation. Too sweet for my taste and heavy on the stomach, i found it hard to finish a whole pint.

@ pub 2 oz sample 06-08-09 : dark copper in color, strong maple nose, med carb, super sweet might be the greatest mapple "in your face" beer in Quebec
