2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Glouglouburp (4781) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 4, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 10, 2008 Had this one at Festival Bières & Saveurs 2007. Was simply called “Rousse” and not “Rousse Goût” as it currently appears here. I’ll assume it is the same. Soft caramel, toasted bread, faint fruity notes, light smoke touch, a little sweet, timid hops, not much bitterness here, pleasant fluffy body. Just your basic generic brewpub amber ale. Nothing offensive, nothing to admire either. Ratebeer description mentions that it is brewed with maple syrup. ?? Hmm, as far as I’m concerned there was as much maple syrup in there as there is actual Frost Glaciers in the Frost Glacier Freeze Gatorade
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Mart (211) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 26, 2007
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rederic (2326) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 30, 2007
Bright amber color, with a beige head, crisp biscuity malt nose, with a toffeeish accent, with a fruity raspberry yeasty, faint caramel note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with toasted, biscuity malts, wildberries fruitiness, mainly raspberry, with a toffee accent, hint of grassiness hop, leading towards a fruity malty finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 LadySusan (617) - Ste-Therese, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 9, 2006
Dark amber color, a sweet taste of caramel but also of hops. The aroma is also a mix of hops and malt. No head to speak of, all in all a good beer.

Bu sur place (4 oz). Rousse pale, comme le thé, peu de collet. arome d’houblon légé, un peu caramelisé. Goût très fumé, un peu malté.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ungstrup (23960) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 28, 2005
A hazy amber beer with a collapsing beige head. The aroma is sweet and fruity. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of berries, where raspberries and strawberries stand out.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Rastacouere (5920) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2005
An off-white ring covers the lightly hazy pale nut brown hue. Rather unappealing nose suggests pomegranate and cherry like fruitiness that doesn’t blend too well the apparently soured hops. Sweet nuts and herbs don’t fit the portrait. Caramalt procures a quickly fading taste of roots. Mineral water finish, light on the palate, average carbonation.
