Honey nute in taste, bitter palate. White foam, medium thick, stays for 3 minutes. Dark-golden colour. Not a bad beer.

jamestulloch (477) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 31, 2012
Aroma: Honey and unripe tropical fruit notes. Subtle hint of sauvignon blanc.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a huge white head that slowly fades. Light carbonation. Nice sticky lacing.

Taste: The fruity flavours are verging on sour. Quite tangy. Noticeable boozy taste for its 6% ABV.

Palate: Medium body with a dry, mouth-puckering mouthfeel. Gentle carbonation fizz.

Overall: Average at best. No uniqueness of flavour. In a word: dull.

Dark amber...frothy white head..clear.....reasonable lacing
Aroma - rich golden malts...lots of sweetish malts...honey..bit of dough...slight buttery light caramel...slight hint of hops
Taste - Lots of golden malts...some light fruits...alcohol noticeable...honey....background of light earthy bitter hops...slight buttery caramel.....not fond of the malts at all here
Palate - soft carb....medium body..oily texture. Finish as main flavour...cloying sweet golden malts..honey...alcohol...bit metallic.
Overall - Cloying sweet malts...not much hops....alcohol noticeable......did not enjoy this...not my cup of tea

AROMA: bread, hay, barnyard, dough APPEARANCE: golden, clear, head frothy white then quickly minimal TASTE: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, not balanced well PALATE: medium body, sticky, lively, long mildly bitter aftertaste OVERALL: not bad, but the sweetness does not match well with the bitterness, refreshing at first, but with a lingering sweet sticky taste.

Scopey (3252) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2011
Bottle from Tesco Danestone in Aberdeen. It pours clear golden yellow with a medium foamy white head and low to moderate carbonation. The nose is sweet malt, straw, hay and a hint of citrus. The taste is hay, straw, honey, pine, sweet malt, biscuit, citrus, white sugar and a little alcohol warmth, with a sweet malt finish. Ok, but unexciting.
