You should give it more than one try to really appreciate it. Pale/orange colour, no head to write of, slightly rotten malty and herbal hoppy aroma, mouthful of sweet malts, bitter hops and alcohol. Probably, the best organic ale I’ve ever tasted.

Bottle as Marks & Spencer Organic Ale. Golden colour, medium white head. This is a great beer! Aroma is fresh hoppy, with fruits and spices. Flavour has sweet hops, lots of yeast, fruits and spices, with a solid malty backbone. Creamy and soft, tartness. Medium carbonated. Much like a Belgian ale. Well done.

Bottled. Gold colour, moderate thin white head, moderate condition. Good sweet malty nose, almost like a Bavarian Helles except for a delicate hop note. Full bodied and malty with a nutty edge and some hop flavour but a slightly offputting dry burnt taste develops that lingers into the aftertaste. Still, it has a lot more taste than most organic beers Ive tried.

Bottle. Gusher?! Nice, candyish, flowery hop aroma. Almost clear golden colour without much head. Quite nice hop flavour, a lot like the aroma, and sweet. Nice bitterness. High carbonation. This would make a cracking cask ale.

A very good organic! Biscuits and fruit combine with a touch of sweetened coffee. Clean palate with a bitter finish and alcohol vapours.

Bottle@home (0,5l) Broker white head, shrinking but stays. Color copper. Aroma malt, hops, floral. Taste hops, malt, some bitter, CO2. Palate silken, some bitter, lasting. Overall worth trying

Honey nute in taste, bitter palate. White foam, medium thick, stays for 3 minutes. Dark-golden colour. Not a bad beer.

Bov (9492) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 21, 2005
bottled and labelled just Border Gold; from Fête de la BIère 2005, Lausanne - clear amber-gold colour with a decent head and a nice lacing, the aroma is mainly flowery but caramel and litchies come to mind too, robust and clean malt palate, a tart bitterness imposes itself before a long dry malty and decently hoppy finish
