Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water; Malted Barley; Hops.
A blend of two beers: A strong ale, warming and malty, combined with a Porter style ale with rich roasted malt characters on a background of good hop flavour and aroma. The two beers are brewed and fermented separately then blended together in a warm conditioning vessel to allow the two ales to mature.

Bottle 500ml. Pours a good ruby colour with a medium tan head. Quite a fruity aroma, with hints of coffee coming through. The flavours were interesting; quite a rummy background with dark roast coffee taste coming through. A pleasant hoppy finish to it with a lingering bitterness. Not a session ale.

500ml bottle bought at Cornelius Beer and Wine in Edinburgh. Pours a deep, russet coloured topped by a light brown, frothy head. Both smell and taste have got a malty character, slightly roasted and moderately sweet. Medium bodied and soft carbonated [24.10.2008]

0.5 l bottle. Dark ruby color with creamy beige head. Sweetish, caramelly, berryish, fruity, perfumed and nutty aroma. Sweet, berryish, nutty fruity and sugary flavor with licorice and dark sugar. Dryer and toastier finish. The taste is initially sugary followed by a dryer and toastier finish. Leaves an akward taste.

(Bottled, BB 03/2010). Very dark brown color, small off-white head. Bready, mämmi-like perfumic nose. Sour milky lactose, coffee, roasted malts then sugary finish with low bitterness. Chocolate notes are nice, but it is all. Combination of sweet porter and strong ale was not so successful.
