3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Looks great - deep, deep red with thick cream head, Aroma roast malt, dried fruit. Definitely porterish but with a distinctly aged character, smooth and slightly smoky. Like dark toffee with fruit and nuts in it. Good stuff.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 500ml. Pours a good ruby colour with a medium tan head. Quite a fruity aroma, with hints of coffee coming through. The flavours were interesting; quite a rummy background with dark roast coffee taste coming through. A pleasant hoppy finish to it with a lingering bitterness. Not a session ale.
