3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 justm (163) - Essex, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2012
Bottle from John Lewis. Pours a light chestnut brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet apple with a caramel maltiness. Quite thin over the tongue, a subtle sweet sugar flavour becomes quite a robust sweet maltiness which fading away abruptly leaving a sweet caramel edge to the aftertaste. A very pleasant bottled beer which would be most suited to those with a sweet tooth. Delightful.

Taste is caramel malty sweetness with some light roasted bitterness and a pleasant hoppy bitterness in the finish. Medium body and a very good brew considering the low ABV.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Scopey (1659) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2011
Bottle from Tesco in Aberdeen. It pours clear brown with a medium off-white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is wood, caramel, bread and damp leaves. The taste is caramel, hay, grass, dishwater, mould and damp wood, with a distinct lack of anything in the finish. Too thin. So good I poured half the bottle down the drain....
