Cask at Halfway House, Edinburgh. Deep golden. Grassy hops shine up a body consisting of buttery malt. Sweetish and fruity with medium body. Salty bitter finish. Fairly hoppy for a Broughton and with a fresh feel to it.

tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 11, 2011
First tasted this at the Glenbryde Hotel, Seamill in June 1982. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thick creamy white head. Slight delicate aroma of apple blossom and dusty hops. Thin refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a buttery biscuit note with white grape fruit soft in the mouth. Old fashioned hop aromas give a dry dusty bitterness to the aftertaste. Finish has a bitter sweet balance with tart apple juice and lemony hops. An excellent session ale on hot summer days.

Rastacouere (5920) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 1, 2007
Large sparkler’s white head atop a clear golden body. Soft foamy palate is gently mineral, floral. The whole thing is simple and straightforward, but aptly refreshing and balanced. Even though the aroma is a bit limited, cerealic pale malts feel crisp enough and the hops surf on them with natural brilliance.
