Dacrza (131), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Jan 13, 2008 Bought this as part of a holiday four-pack to gift myself this season... jet black body with thin, ozone-like off-white head in a snifter--intimidating! Sharp malt and some oat presence--nodescript otherwise... smooth, creamy body...effervescent around tongue...a bit smokey in the finish...early coffee and nut tastes with a late smokey flavor...milky? oatmeal? enjoyably smooth a nd subtly roasted...I’d drink this again, despite its availability only in 1.9 pints...
jsquire (1835), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Jun 28, 2008 I had this from a Kinmount Willie Oatmeal Stout bottle. Dark beer with red highlights. Thin beige head. The nose reminded me of Whoppers malted milk ball candy with chocolate and malt powder. Flavors of puffed wheat and cereal grains with some chocolate and sweetened coffee. There was a light lactic acididy to it that I didn’t mind at all. azlondon (455), Greater London, England Jun 27, 2008 Appearance: Very dark brown. Bit of head, shortlived.
Aroma: Malt, chocolate and coffee (roasted).
Taste: Coffee and malt. Bit of chocolate. Oatmeal.
