3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JohnRMurdoch (2257) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAY 5, 2013
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Medium brown with a reddish amber hue, decent head. Dry toffee malt aroma & flavour. Sharp bitter aftertaste. One of Broughton’s better efforts.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackHaddock (2356) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2013
500ml Bottle: shared with a mate on 15 Feb 2013 during a random beer tasting evening.
Nice looking brew: bright copper body with a full if not deep biege head on top.
Malts rule the flavours both aromaticly and taste wise. This is almost a smooth, gentle beer: however the hop undertones prevent it becoming too sweet and malty. I’m sweet toothed and prefer maltier brews, this sat nicely within that ’pigeon-hole’. The hops play there part but if you’re a Hop head this isn’t for you unless you fancy something diferent for a change.

5th January 2011 Clear deep amber beer, no real head. Crisp palate. Toffee malt with a good balance of grapefruit hops. The malt turns creamy before the finish which is fairly bitter. Not bad.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Wolfbass (742) - Firenze, ITALY - NOV 9, 2012
Direi bitter molto luppoleggiante , che fa da padrone al naso e anche in bocca. Godibile e molto bevibile...
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Weefannybaws (37) - Paisley, SCOTLAND - JUL 22, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2012 Pours a lovely copper colour, with light, foamy head. Nose of hops, with hints of metal. Taste of malty hops - slightly toffee favoured, but again, with hints of metal. Bitter metallic after-taste, though not in a bad way. Quite enjoyable.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 AshtonMcCobb (1453) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 30, 2011
50cl bottle, thanks to Bret. Pours amber with steady bubbles and a gentle head. The nose has toffee but more particularly biscuits. The taste is more of the same biscuit, even going into ginger nut biscuits. The palate is medium-bodied with a tangy medium weighted texture in the mid-section and the finish is fresh. Maybe it’s just because I’m extremely thirsty but I think they’ve nailed the bitter style definitely.
