Cask; Seasonal - Winter.
An easy drinking but full bodied ale specially brewed for the Winter months.
Lactose sugar is used in the grist to give a good residual sweetness complementing the light hop flavour.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Dark brown colour leaning in the mahogany direction, pale brown, frothy head. Malty nose with dark fruit, blackberries and a hint of chocolate. Malty taste with wild berries, dark fruit and some chocolate. Rather sweet with lots of berries. Nice beer, but from a beer with the name Winter Fire, I would expect a little more ... fire.

Cask handpull at Wenlock. Ruby colour with thin beige head. Lots of fruity malt on this. Some good malt, fruits are red and dark. Some spicey hop on finish. Juicy, rounded in mouth. Nice enough.

TheGrandMaster (2313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 26, 2006
Pint pulled at The Market Porter in Borough (London), dark brown with ruby tints and a beige bubbly head. Aroma is caramal and fruity. Very very smooth palate with a medium mouthfeel. Molasses sweetness that isn’t too much with some pleasant woody notes. On recommendation of the manager, and a good one too.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2006 Very good, I found four different Christmas beers new for me yesterday, and this was good as the rest of them, A little bitter, but with the characteristic flavour of the Broughton ales. Really nice.
