Hazy orangeish amber-brown color, small foamy white head, orange juice, spicy coriander, wheat aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with pale malt, wheat, juicy, orange peels, citrus fruits flavors, with a lactic acidity in the finish.

Note: 6+/10

Originally rated January 2006 when it was brewed under Ma Brasserie. Last of my Bièropholie brews bought at the Dépanneur de la Rive in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. Pours a cloudy beige-orange colour with a foamy-bubbly white head. Retention is low, so is the lacing. Corriander sediments are all over. The aroma is mostly oranges though, with some alcohol hiding behind. The oranges are also very present in the taste. Mouthfeel is dry and mildly sticky. I really enjoyed this brew, but seems more like an orange fruit beer, than a witbier.

On tap at Brouhaha. Pale brownish yellow with a small, short-lived white head. Lots of sweet citrus in the nose, along with wheat and a little spice. The wheat is upped a little in the flavour. Smooth and creamy body. Not bad.

On tap at Brouhaha. The color is a hazy dark honey with a thin white head. The taste is of malt, spicies, citrus fruits and hops. The aroma is of malt and fruits. This is a very good mix for a Belgium white, it leaves a good feeling in the mouth.

Draught. At Mondial 2009 - day 1. Very cloudy pale yellow with a solid white creamy head. Strong aroma of lemon, coriander, pear and heather (the plant, you sicko). Tastes quite grassy, with lemon and just a hint of banana, very light alcohol presence. Light bodied, very lively and fruity on the palate, with a soft grassy finish - very refreshing, a tad hoppy for the style, but well-balanced and done.

Draught at ’Mondial de la Biere 2009’, Montréal, QC. Pours a very cloudy pale yellow with an average size somewhat-lasting white head. Nice aroma of banana, citrus, other fruit and wheat. Very refreshing flavour, follows the aroma and tastes great. Average bodied. Fantastic! That’s three for three with brewery so far!

Appearance: plain light golden look , glowing hue , mid white top. Fragmental lace. 3-
Nose: Light wheat character , soft sweet sides , bit citric around . Good nose.
Flavor/Palate : Mid light bodied. Clean , but bit thin , diluted what character with hint of orange. Lighter and bit over carbonated yet still quiet drinkable.

Ok, I may be a bit objective. But I really like this White. Nice citrus aroma that changes as the keg gets older to banana and finally cooked banana. And I think this doesn’t change that it is a great beer. Most refreshing when young and a bit more warming when older.
