Tasted in a 750ml bottle. At nose we recognize the cherry very well. In the mouth it is very acid, the acidity is too present it hide the roasted malt and the hops. This is far from the Imperial Stout that I’m used to. Almost no body... not so sweet. I don’t know if I will finish it. And also the bottle gushed when I opened it.

Dark brown color, small tan head. Tart fruit aroma. Medium body with a nice sour flavor and a medium finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This was an older bottle, maybe 2012? Pours a thin black with a short tan head. Aroma is fruity and light roast and chocolate. Flavour is cherry, reminds me of cherry coke actually. Fruity and dark, but a little thin and some off fruit flavours (maybe because its old). Enjoyable overall but could be more

Noire. Nez: acide. Fruit. Cerise. Biscuit. Chocolat. Bouche: sucré. Acide. Un peu levure. Poudreuse. Fruité. Framboise. Cerise. Gâteau forêt noire effectivement. Chocolat noir. Belle amertume surtout en finale. J'aime l'idée.

Someone (probably Dany) shared this in the evening after the HF Harvest Festival. Pours brown with a small tanned yellow head. Caramel and old fruit on the nose. More caramel with a touch of acid. Sweet and old fruit. Long musk and a touch more tartness on the finish.

My Bottom Line :
Cherries develop lots of aroma and flavor as well as subtle acidity atop this Belgian-style Imperial Stout’s chocolate malts.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the blackened dark brown.
-This is lean, elegant and easy drinking for a 10% plus brew.
-The soft bubbling increases drinkability.
-Vanilla flavors link chocolate and cherries.

[4137-20111119] 750mL bottle. Odd fragrant fruity malt aroma has an unpleasant pungentness. Black brown body with a medium-lasting foamy dark tan head. Cherry-infused roast malt flavour has quite a boozy sweet fruit roast base throughout. Full body. Odd transition from sour beers but settles in nicely. (7/3/7/4/14) 3.5+

Bottle at Brouhaha with Andy, PJ and Niles after Igloofest. Great black pour with a red aura. Tan head. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate and dried red fruit. Tastes thin and yet rich. Slightly dry, awesome dark cherry flavor mixed with notes of chocolate and a little roast. Absolutely loved this beer.

Thanks to Ian for this. Pours black as night with a thin brown head. Aroma is bitter chocolate and light cherries. Taste is dark chocolate, slight cherry, and roasted malts. Nice but I wanted more.

Bottle at the brewpub after igloo fest 2012. Supple stout with cherries... Not overly sweet. More dark fruits than I would have expected, fantastic.
