On tap @ Mondial 2009. Aroma is malty with some citrus, deep orange, small white head. Flavour is orange with some malt backing. Medium bodied, balanced, very spritzy. Good example

Cask at brouhaha. This is special but not necessary in a good way. Aroma and taste are apple juice, wood. Very low bitterness. The good point is that the drinkability is very high. But doesn’t seem like a IPA to me.

Tap through the Randall: Poured a cloudy dark amber color ale with no head and very limited carbonation. Aroma of green floral hops is dominating and very good notes of earthy hops. Taste is also dominated by floral green oily hops with some earthy flavour. Malt is definitely present though totally overshadowed by the hops. Body is full with limited filtration. Very well brewed though totally overshadowed by the fresh hops – it would be interesting to try this without the dry hops.

freash bright aroma of peppery hops, citrus, and some pineapple, and apples. Flavor is bright, and grassy, with the hopos coming through again in the finish. a great refreshing ale.

On cask at Benelux cask night (off-mondial event). Nice copper pour with no head. Hoppy aromas, not picking up much of anything belgian, some caramel, a bit of roastiness. Bitter hoppy taste all along but finishes a bit short and tart, not so hot. Good, but the taste was a bit of a letdown.

Drank at Brouhaha’s second anniversary (6/4/2010), on cask (12 oz). Honey golden, medium head. Aroma of mid-sweet hops, notes of grapefruit. Taste of bitter hops with a good touch of tart citrus, bitter citrus aftertaste. A rather bitter IPA but fun to drink!

On cask at Benelux cask night
Appearance : Hazy orange, no head.
Aroma : Lots of orange, very fruity. Some hops, quite citrusy.
Taste : Fruity with a strong bitterness. Finish is very bitter. Notes of mangos.
Overall : It seems the light carbonation made the bitterness really harsh. It seems to fade a bit with time. It was also very fruity, lots of orange of citrus fruits. Quite interesting. I think the cask conditionning changed it quite a lot. I would need to try the regular version.

Draught. At Mondial 2009 - day 1. Cloudy orange with a fluffy-creamy off-white head, sticky lacing. Dry and yeasty aroma, fresh grain with grapefruit zest bitterness. The taste followed perfectly - dry, spicy/yeasty, a hint of crushed pine needles; sharp. Average body, moderately astringent-bitter, with a nice long dry finish - very solid, surprisingly bitter, but not off-putting.
