Bottle 341ml. @ [ Edinburgh Danish Invasion Tasting) by cgarvieuk - Edinburgh ].

Unclear medium yellow colour with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, fruity, moderate to heavy white pepper. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, white pepper, saison fruity yeast, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO quit nice - fun, but not easy to drink. [20120422]

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and crisp hoppy. Bitter and light cornish to malty. Bitter and dry malty to light cornish finish. Ends dry and bitter.

A hazed golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, intense spices, with black Szechuan pepper, all spices and cardamom. In mouth, a smooth saison with light sweet malt, spices, pepper, very nice. On tap at Festibiere de Gatineau,May 28 2011.

My Bottom Line :
Citrusy, spicy green pepper perfumes yield to a cushiony effervescence and lightly doughy cereals and yeast in this smashing creation.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam bobs atop the cloudy whitish blond.
-The explosive aroma is as enticing as a freshly made curry paste, and the flavor profile is as soft and comfortable as can be. A lovely sequence.
-Effervescence, svelte body and moderate flavor intensity combine for very high drinkability.
-Floral notes abound as well.
-The finish is a pleasant tandem of herbal hops and spicy green pepper.

2012-07-08. Lightly hazy pastel yellow with a small white head. 3+ Fairly sharp peppery first sip, light pale malt and bitterness throughout, florals, spice. 6+ Aroma is quite sharp, peppery, something like lemongrass. 6+ Smooth average bodied palate. Overall I find it very interesting but a little bit intense and sharp at times. Bottle via trade with SlovakSniper

Bottle @ Armin’s post-Scott’s Summer Saison tasting. Thanks Armin! Clear golden appearance with a white head. Quite floral, a bit herbal tea, somewhat citrusy, lightly spicy aroma. Tangy, dry/bitter floral, grassy herbal, light citrusy flavor. Fairly dry with some stone fruity elements. Not bad.

Radekfest 2012 – bottle 355 ml
Aroma mild woody notes, slight tartness with touch of berry. Hint of vanilla. 7-
Appearance hazed , bright golden look with bright lighter white cap.
Flavor and Palate : Peppery, citrusy, tart with biscuit notes. Mellow milder follow up. Some vanilla woody hints behind. Green gooseberry noted late. Good.

[4612-20120708] 341mL bottle. Fresh pepper cleaner wheat aroma. Slightly hazy, light tan yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Fresh bitter fruity hops flavour has a strange white wine tartness up front and some yeasty grape pineapple. Medium body. Strange but deliciously fresh and vibrant. (7/3/7/4/15) 3.6

En fût. Verre de dégustation directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur de poivres avec une pointe de céréales. Apparence: La couleur est blonde voilée avec une très faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de poivres et de céréales avec une pointe de pommes. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence d’épices en arrière goût. (Rating #3731)
