UPDATED: DEC 25, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Caramel aroma (strange for a tripel). Cloudy, amber color, white creamy head, very nice lace. Sweet, caramel, light bitter, hint of citrus, hint of butter, smooth. Nice beer but certainly not a standard tripel.

wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 15, 2010
{thoughts} Minted iced tea by nose, caramel apples by taste; this beer seems an odd combination of sensations. A sharp spiciness pays some homage to Tripel, and a lively mouthfeel speeds everything along.

{elements} Hazy peach hue; small, white ring of foam. Strange aroma of equal parts iced tea and mint, and lesser amounts of white pepper and musky apricots. Moderately sweet, moderate-heavy acidity, moderate bitterness; tastes of apples in caramel sauce, raisins, black pepper and alcohol. Heavy carbonation, creamy texture, medium body. 75 cl bottle @ GP Tuulensuu, best before 03/2012.

0.75 l bottle at Tuulensuu, Tampere.Hazy peach to gold color. The aromas of herbal orange, honey, peach, pineapple and beetroot. Sweet, acidic and very fruity flavor with toffee, raisins and musty notes reminiscenting beetroot in vinegar. Not drinkable, mustiness is disturbing.

On draught at Het Brouwcafe. A little hazy, golden colored beer, with a white head. The aroma is malty with fruits like citrus and some bitter. The taste is malty fresh with citrus, a little bitterness with some spices, like coriander. The aftertaste is bittersweet with some spices.

Draft at the brewery. Citric sourish tripel, sweetish, yeasty. It does remind me of la chouffe blond. Not bad.
