3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark, fruity, with a bit of warming. Medium body. Drinkable, but not worth the price. I’ll be honest, I was attracted by the creepy bottle.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Dark brown, a thick tan quilt. Smells of grapes, belgian candi sugar, some malts, a little sugar. Wow, flavor is very similar to grape soda, weird. Terrible. The yeast has a artificial grape flavor I find absolutely repugnant in DFH hi ABV beers. There’s a alcohol burn and tweak. Medium at best body with moderate carb. This is shitty.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, 13C. Clear darkish brown with an off-white head that lasts very well. Aroma of jubes, butterscotch, lemon, spices, hair products. Medium in body and carbonation. Fairly sweet, cherry jubes, a little earthy. Dries out a bit with some spices at the moderately bitter end. No powerful dried fruit or chocolatey rumble at all. Um... alcohol well hidden. Dull, bafflingly so.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours turbid ruby, looking deep brown through direct light, with frothy off-white head. Nose is roasty dark malt, yeasty, funky, dark fruit, hops. Tastes very dry, yeasty, roasty dark malty, with hops in the finish. This one came off like a black saison/black IPA hybrid. I like this brewer a lot.
