2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Anticipated this bottle from high-brow market so shared with kmweaver...yet another disappointment. The art on the label is great (silly, right) ,but I more thought this had promise since Iíd noted a saison yeast quality alongside well-defined fruit flavor in a draft pour sample months earlier. This was not the case in the bottle. Blackberry aroma presents well in color and aroma, but is more like cooked pancake syrup in flavor and mouthfeel. Yeast character lost in this one. More of a murky fruit beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle, murky purplish red pour. Black & Blue berry nose with red wine notes, touch of fruity & slightly funky saison yeast. Berry forward with some dry yeastiness, some tangerine juice, rind & pith. Decent

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Listed at 7.7% ABV. Pours a cloudy reddish purple with a thinner pink head that leaves some soapy lace. Nose involves fragrant berry, spicy yeast, slight grass and herbal hops, and hay. Somewhat sweet, more tart, with some bitterness. Frothy body, quite active, tingly, with a tart dry finish. Pretty nice, not terribly sweet and definitely not syrupy like some fruit beers. The fruit compliments the saison.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is a dark hazy red with a large pink head. Aroma is a berry fruit with some sugary malt and a nice yeast. Flavor is a tart berry with some sugar and a nice herbal fruit. Finish leaves a nice sweet-tart on the tongue as this goes down. Quite unusual but full of berry tartness.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A bit overcarbonated for my taste. Interesting deep purple color. Blackberry aroma came on strong but was overpowered by the carbonation. I donít think I would drink this again, itís not to my liking, but not bad for someone who likes fruity things.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Farmerís market tasting tick.) 16.9oz bottle, courtesy of mpersinger. Thanks, Mike! Pours a deep, pulpy reddish-blueberry color; light-pink, small-bubbled head. A touch of butter in the nose, along with deep blueberries, dark fruits; not much of a "saison" quality. Huge, huge blackberry/blueberry character with just a touch of syrup; a light peppery saison note, further to the back end, but thatís about all. Still a sweet, overly so, and heavy fruit beer. Not interested.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark ruby red with a pink head. Yes, a pink head. Aroma of blackberry, sour apple, yeast and light spice. Flavor is sweet with blackberry and light tart fruit, light spice and yeast. Finishes dry and lightly bitter. It is bubbly and refreshing. It tastes like a light red wine champagne with blackberries.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle pours a hazy brownish purple with huge pink head and good lacing. Aroma is of blackberries and yeast with some spices in the flavor. Taste is sour with a long dry finish. Body is medium with lively carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. This was my second try of this unusual treat. I would prefer a little sweetness for balance. I couldnít tell any differnce between the blue and brown-labeled bottles.
