Sampled on tap at La Trappe. A well balanced Sour that is not overpowering. It is crisp and refreshing on the palate.

[Tap] Cloudy appearance and yellow color. Aroma of lactic acid, funk and cereal grains. Biscuit notes, sour and dry fruits, mild funk and unripened pear flavors. Very dry and somewhat grassy finish. Tasting notes from 1/2014.

On tap. Very cloudy yellow with a foamy white head. Big grainy and bready aroma and taste with a prominent tart green apple and cherry presence. Bright medium bodied palate.

Very bright tasting. After having quite a few tasters, this woke up my taste buds. A slight funk to it with a little bit of stone fruit notes. A little viscous at the back of the throat adds some spice notes. Quite nice.

A cloudy pale amber. Light aromas that are fregrant with yeast. It starts off light with a fruity tartness that melds into dryness created by all those hops. A perfect blend of hops and sour.

Cloudy yellow Impervious to light. Light fruity yeast scents. Light hop blended with yeast and funk. I would not call it sour but it was so flavorful and refreshing.

Tap at Haven Gastropub in Pasadena. Sparkling clear yellow pour with thicker white foam. Fresh herbal saison nose. Huge sheets of lacing. Lemon sorbet nose with biscuit and fresh herbs. More of a traditional saison nose. Taste is dry, herbal bitter, lemon juice. Clean and refreshing. Wouldn’t call it funky, sour or wild though. Solid saison. Didn’t even pick out the Brett.

On tap @ Brix Sunset Beach. Pours a cloudy golden color with a white head. Fruit esters dominate the nose. Apple, banana, and pear. Peppery, earthy funk, grass, and a dry malt profile. The flavor is dry and peppery, despite the fruit/esters. Lots of banana, apple, and pear. Light citric tartness, a subtle funk, and some yeast.

Pale yellow-golden colour, frothy head. Fairly fizzy, with an unremarkable taste. Average.

On tap. Pours with a very haze pale yellow hued body and a white head. Aromas are very fruity, isoamyl acetate, peppery phenols, very light funk, low malt. Flavors are isoamyl acetate, grainy, very estery, dry and floral. Peppery. More saison like than wild ale. Fuller carbonation, dry finish.
