(Draught from a wooden cask@Brugs bierfestival 2012) Muddy brown with almost no head. Tart and slightly sweet oud bruin aroma with strong balsamico notes. Flavor is ripe-fruity and quite sour with cherry stones. Medium body, dryish, astringent palate with flat CO2. A well made oud bruin, maybe lacking somewhat in complexity and body. 3275

Amber brown colour, no head. Beautiful sour aroma, fruity, yoghurt, vanilla, berries, wood, some tobacco, light apple vinegar. Sour flavour, quite fruity, wood and almonds. Quite dry. Finish quite tart with vanilla and wood tones. Nice!

Note: man, I’m a sucker for sours...

Little cloudy red brown beer, no head. Aroma: sour berries, butter milk, sour cherries, tobacco, very fruity in general, dry wood notes. Taste: very sour start, fruity, sour cherries and berries, tobacco bitterness as well, wood notes, yoghurt tartness. Aftertaste: some wood, little bitter, nice sour finish. Can’t wait to try that blended version!

From wooden cask @ 5de Brugs Bier festival.
