3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JorisPPattyn (6727) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUN 14, 2008
Gushing to huge, yellowish whipped-eggwhite head, slightly irregular, over fully hazy orange beer, UFO-laden. White candi sugar (..), alcohol, faintly citric & spicy yeastesters. Sharp vegetable-spicy-yeasty taste. Sample tastes quite young actually, which is strange seen the bottling date has had 1 yr. already. Still, balance is OK, some restsugars, especially warming up; slightly smoked flavour. Sharp, burning MF; titillating & well-carbonated; medium bodied at best. Not half bad, but once the sharp taste & MF settled in, not really distinctive.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Jerre (2166) - Waregem, BELGIUM - JUN 1, 2008
Bottle, 75 cl. first tima @ Kortrijk 24.11.07 Week v/d Smaak.
RE-taste @ home (bought Pauwels, Heule)
Hazy dark golden color, with a large white head.
Aroma bit spice, fruits, malts.
Medium body. Taste little sweet, some spices, fruits, hops, bitterness. It’s like this beer has more than just 6 % alc.
Good.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour (opaque yellow), with a big sparkling bubblyish/foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, mildly spiced and some mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is spicy, sour fruity and also some bitterness. Alcohol is showing a bit in the background, but gets stronger the warmer the beer gets.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FatPhil (6207) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 10, 2008
UPDATED: APR 26, 2009 750ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Belgian Week 2008)
Cloudy pale yellow, lively and with a huge head. Taste is tangy but a bit astringent. Decent hoppiness, but there’s something obnoxious which spoils the good aspects. (5-3-6-3-12=2.8)
Rerate: 750ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks 2009)
(5-3-5-4-10=2.7) Dishwater aroma. Vegetal taste. Hoppy finish is tasty but the rest is very disappointing. Soap too. Simple and a bit watery. With yeast, you get very in the aroma too. Misses the mark.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 6, 2008
(Bottled, 0.75l) Almost opaque yellow with a very large, cloudy head. Very crisp and fruity, witbier-spicy aroma with sweetish honey-maltiness. Sweetish, crisp, spicy and slightly acidic-alcoholic flavor. Lots of yeast in the bottle, but doesn’t affect the flavor much. Medium-bodied, reasonably refreshing palate with a bit foamy carbonation. A pleasant and crisp brew.
