Clear goldblond coloured beer with small white head and few carbonation. Full bit sparkling palate. Finish is roasted smokey ending bitter dry, soft ending compared to the Kalle. Good one.

Bottle. Aroma yeasty with light fruits and mild herbal hop notes. Flavor pretty bland, light malt, light yeast. A bit water-forward. Really just couldn’t come up with much to say about this one...

otakuden (1558) - Vero Beach, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Appearance: dirty orange, straw, and hay. Off white head with pith tinges laces the sides of my glass permanently. Swirls with a nice head while a slow stream of bubbles make their way to the surface.
Nose: orange pith, orange rind, green leaves, key lime. Overall gentle earthiness; burlap sacks, dusty blankets. Tree branches with woodiness underneath.
Palate: smooth bready mouthfeel which lingers atop my tongue – sweet breads. Fresh oranges and apricots, juicy then fleshy without the dry inner pith and stringy veins. Very clean and well attenuated; lacks the bubbly effect despite her appearance. Juicy apple flesh. Greenness underneath and along the edges; fruit stems. Must and dusty blankets are a shadow, barely discernable but there for those lucky enough to spot it.
Final Thoughts: thanks to my sister and momster for picking out yet another fabulous beer. A solid Belgian treat, she didn’t blow my tastebuds away but neither were there any complaints either.

Bottled @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Belgian Week 2008. Very soapy aroma! Flowers, camomille. Taste very bubbly, huge white head. Taste soap as well, but not horrible.

Golden colour with diminsihing head. Maizy wheat with some good hoppy character and sweet aftertones of fruit. Has a very marzipan flavour throughout. Relatively balanced carbanation.
