330mL bottle brought back from Belgium by a friend.
As much as I loved the delightfully odd Quacklbeen, this one fell a little flat (no pun intended) for me. Sweet with very heavy handed carbonation that made it really hard to pick out the malt character spoken of in the aroma. Band aid phenols were prominent as it warmed.

33cl bottle @ home. Hazy red-amber color with slight yeast particles in it, full sized beige head that lasts for a long time and leaves good lacing. Smell malts, some sweetness, herbs and spices, wet leaves. Taste malts, herbs, spices, earthy, leaves, slightly a sour hint and some cooked vegetables. Low to medium body and carbonation.

Clear red brown beer, huge beige creamy head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sourish, caramel, hay, tobacco, cow stable, bit smelly. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: some caramel, hay, sweet touch, tobacco, some chocolate, mocha, bitter hops. Aftertaste: bitter touch, hops, little sour, mocha. Where’s the smoke/peat?

Het is een rood bier, type Vlaams roodbruin gebrouwen met whiskymout.
Smaak van caramel, chocolade en gebrande mouttoetsen, iets van zuur en kruiden. redelijke body, plakkerig en droog, vol met caramel.
Afdronk vrij lang en zoet.

Clear medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, chocolate - nesquick notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120622]

(Bottled 10/2010) Hazy dark red-amber with a largeish, foamy head. Neutral, lightly caramely maltiness with dry tartness in the nose. Flavor is neutral-malty, tart and caramely, with grainy-smoky notes. Yeast brings some notes of dried fruit along. Medium body, foamy CO2. The house flavor is there, but the effect of whisky malt seems quite subtle, and there’s little else of interest here. No serious faults, either. 4255

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are malt, caramel, nuts and hops. Notes of wood as well.

Bottle@Ulfborg. Pours cludy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, yeast, fruitiness and brown sugar.Flavor is sweet and malty with some caramel, yeast,dark berries and coffee. Medium body, average carbonation.
