3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 ladnewton (910) - London, - JUN 7, 2009
Draught, in Browarmia brewpub, Sept 2005. Of the four beers I tasted here, I left this one until last, allowing plenty of time to sup it. Bursting with dark chocolate (without beeing oversweet) and smoke flavours, with some burnt barley in there too.

Draught @ Browarmia Krolewska. Black coloured beer with a medium light brown head. Rather light aroma. Barely noticable hints of roasted malts. Medium palate. Finish is short sweet bitter and light roasted malty hinted. Missed flavour and character. Medium.

Tap, pours dark brown with off white head. Aroma is some smoke, roasted malts, coffee. Taste is chocolate, coffee, and malts. Too bland for me, nothing intresting.

[9/15/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Memory ratings of the stolen notepad #3: Draught at the brewpub in Warsaw. Black, not opaque. Roasty, slightly milky coffee, light chocolate. An OK drinkable Stout.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011
draught at the brewpub on a very hot and moist day, after carrying 25 bottles of beer from Wine of Dreams through Warsaw, with Schroppfy. Deep brown colour, small beige head. Lots of caramel, dark chocolate and espresso flavours there. Shy and thin malty background, a bit watery.

Very roasty aroma of charred wood, plus coffee. Flavor is milky sweet to a degree, chocolate, roasted astringency. Medium bitterness, medium sweetness. Watery palate. Looks OK in the glass, head dies right away lingering as a light rim.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ungstrup (23960) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 27, 2010
Draft. A black beer with a slight brown shine under a huge dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt combined with medium notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, grain, straw, and bitter chocolate, leading to a dry chocolaty finish. The body is light.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - DEC 30, 2009
Draught at the brewpub The color is almost black. Light roasted malt aroma. Quite good flavor of roasted malt, dry, giving a bitter final; maybe too much roasted malt for me in the final. Not bad.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drpimento (1748) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 21, 2009
Had a tap of this at the pub. Served with a full, thick, golden brown head. Opaque black. Aroma was dark ripe fruits and a little of the traditional stout characteristics. Flavor was about the same with less of the fruit and a little more of the bittersweet chocolate and coffee; a bit of a sweet stout. Body was good, creamy with mild carbonation. Finish was bitter with a hint of sweetness. Session beer.
