Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Pale gold, lasting off white head. Well the simcoes aren’t immediately obvious. Almost a touch of diacetyl. It’s just a regular blond ale really. OK, dulliish. Should be re-named, simply not any simcoes (a few may have been waved near the copper at some point I guess)

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, day 2, on 1 May 2009. Attractive very pale straw colour. Clean and crisp but seemed rather lacking in Simcoe - I was expecting rather more in the way of aroma and hop rush. Disappointing.
