I guess a "red" type of beer is really not a beer snob’s sort of beer, so I feel bad dinging it.. I guess for type this is "ok". It has a lot of caramel, and tasted better on the back end.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear dark amber color with a minimal off-white head that disappears quickly. Top ring of lacing with some spots underneath. The aroma is mildly malty with a touch of caramel and hops. Medium, clean body with pale malt and fruit flavors as well as a touch of hops. The finish is short with a sweet malt aftertaste. Slightly below average overall.
